KittySpout Not Working? Cleaning, Pump, Flow, Noise, and Charging Fixes

If KittySpout stops flowing, first check the water level, power or battery, assembly, saturated filter, pump intake and impeller. Low water and debris cause many ordinary faults. Stop troubleshooting and contact support if you find heat, swelling, damaged wiring, a cracked base, burning smell or repeated electrical failure. Never immerse an electronic base.

KittySpout pump not working

Running below the pump height can stop circulation and damage a pump. Add water before starting the fountain. If power is present but no flow appears, unplug it, remove the pump cover and inspect the impeller according to the exact model instructions. Hair, mineral scale and slime can prevent movement.

Do not pry sealed electrical parts or operate the pump dry. Request support when the cable is damaged, the pump becomes hot or cleaning does not restore movement.

Low water flow

Low flow can result from:

Black carbon dust from a new filter may appear when it was not rinsed sufficiently. Persistent unusual colour, odour or residue after cleaning should be reported with photographs and the filter batch details.

Leaks

Dry the unit, refill below the maximum line and observe on a waterproof surface. Check cracks, seals, lid alignment, filter seating and splash caused by the cat. Do not operate a leaking fountain near power. A cracked tank or base should be replaced rather than sealed with an unapproved adhesive.
